Lauren Cartwright is the Communications Coordinator for the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, a government agency that provides assistance services to encourage the startup, retention and expansion of Sonoma County businesses. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economic Development and Masters of Business Administration and has recently launched her career into the public sector after nearly a decade of working in the local wine and hospitality industry.
Her experience has primarily focused on brand marketing strategy, public relations and digital marketing with an overarching theme of consumer engagement. These skills have translated to a more active and engaged public audience for the Economic Development Board and to drive exposure and advanced content created for their Sonoma County Connections talent attraction website.
A native of the Bay Area, Lauren fell in love in Sonoma County 12 years ago upon her arrival at Sonoma State University. An active member of the local community and member of the Sonoma MBA Alumni Forum, where her efforts are focused on building awareness for her alma mater. She resides in Santa Rosa with her husband Alex and menagerie of pets, where they enjoy spending their free time exploring the great outdoors and sampling the famous wines of the region.
