Ms. Shantella E. Cooper, also known as Shan, most recently served as the Chief Transformation Officer of WestRock Company. In this role, she was responsible for the company’s Recycling and Waste Services Division, as well as the Information Technology, Global Procurement, and Enterprise Logistics organizations. Prior to joining WestRock, she served as Vice President of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and General Manager of its Marietta, Georgia, facility which designs, produces, modifies, and maintains military aircraft for the U.S. and countries around the world. She also served as Vice President of Business Ethics. She served in a variety of leadership roles at Lockheed Martin and Lucent Technologies. She has been a Director of Georgia Power Co. since, 2017. She was named Georgia Trend magazine's 2015 Most Respected Business Leader; and one of Georgia Trend magazine's Most Influential Georgians in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. She was also named one of Black Enterprise magazine’s Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America in 2017. Ms. Cooper is a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club and serves on numerous boards including the board of councilors for the Carter Center, the board of trustees of both Emory University and the Woodruff Arts Center, the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia, and the board of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education. Ms. Cooper holds a bachelor's degree in biology and religion from Emory University and a master's of business administration from Emory University's Goizueta Business School. She is also a graduate of the Rutgers Global Executive Master's in Human Resource Leadership Program.
