Joel Dixon is Co-Principal of Urban Oasis Development where he oversees Community Development & Business Development. He has been instrumental in helping to raise the public profile and community partnerships of our team as well as mobilize financial resources for expansion. Joel was raised in the westside Atlanta, growing up in John Hope/University Homes. He understands the city from a personal perspective and is well-connected with the business and grassroots community leaders. Joel has over 12 years of sales and business development experience. In 2010, he was a founding board member of educational nonprofit Educate Haiti Now, Inc. He has served on steering board of Young Professionals for Educational Equity (YPEE). He has a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University and Certificate of Mandarin Chinese from Beijing Language and Culture University. Joel is a 2017 Graduate of the Urban Land Institute’s prestigious Center for Leadership. He is also a graduate of Invest Atlanta's inaugural Westside Community Builder’s program.
