Ean Johnson is currently a Regional Manager of Economic Development for BNSF Railway. In this position he leads the class 1 railroad’s economic development efforts in the southeastern US and is responsible for the site selection of railroad customers and preparing communities to embrace rail-related growth. Ean is a part of a team that was responsible for aiding in the generation of over seven billion in capital investment and 3,500 jobs by rail-served customers on over 100 projects in 2017. Prior to this role, Ean was on the on the BNSF economic development team, via Jones Lang LaSalle, based in Chicago. A native of Ohio and graduate of Wright State University, Ean has economic development experience at the municipal, and regional levels in Ohio & New York and a stint as an Economic Development Representative for the US Economic Development Administration for the state of Illinois. Ean earned his certified economic developer designation (CEcD) in 2016. Ean is based in Ft. Worth, Texas with his wife Wakita and their dog Snow.
