Currently serving as Head of FDI & Economic Products at Bureau van Dijk, David is an experienced cross-border investment professional. Over the past 17 years, he has worked with large multinationals, leading consultants, multilateral organisations, academic institutions, and over 200 government investment promotion agencies across all continents.

David initiated the development of Orbis Crossborder Investment, the world’s first database that combines the tracking of both Greenfield FDI and cross-border mergers and acquisitions at company-level. He currently oversees the ongoing development of this Bureau van Dijk product. He is also a regular speaker and moderator at global FDI events.

In addition, David manages Bureau van Dijk’s suite of products co-published with the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) including: EIU CountryData, EIU CityData, EIU World Investment Service, EIU Market Indicators & Forecasts, EIU CountryRisk and EIU Operational Risk.
