Shawn Hogan is currently an Executive Consultant with the Hornell IDA and Local Development Corp, after serving 32 years as Mayor of City of Hornell. He was the youngest person ever elected as mayor of the City at the age of 33. Mayor Hogan was New York’s longest tenured city mayor holding office. He was effectively the Chief Executive Officer for a city of 10,000 people for over 30 years. Mayor Hogan was been instrumental in working to revitalize the City of Hornell. In 1997 he played a key role in recruiting a major new industry to the City, Alstom, a French firm involved in the railroad and transit industries currently employing over 1100 people.

The City of Hornell experienced record commercial growth during Mayor Hogan’s tenure in office. He put in place a major capital improvement program in the City rebuilding its infrastructure. He established a working labor/management committee. As Mayor he also acted as the chief labor relations negotiator on behalf of the City.

Mayor Hogan is married to the former Holly Horton and they have four children and eight grandchildren.
