With a heart to sincerely see the citizens of Mississippi County prosper, Tamika Jenkins is currently the Project Coordinator with Mississippi County Economic Development for 11 years. During her tenure, she has assisted in the creation of numerous net new jobs and lead workforce development initiatives including receiving the first ACT Work Ready Certified award for Arkansas. the As the former Executive Director of the South Mississippi County United Way she is linked with many non-profit agencies and helps them as much as she can. She has worked on many projects to study the attitudes, mind sets and habits of the people in poverty in Mississippi County. With a background in Engineering and Project Management, she posses the organizational skills to lift any project off the ground and keep it going. Tamika has served on the Great River Charitable Clinic Executive Board, currently serves with Daddy’s Diamonds and has completed many leadership programs, She belongs to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Her church life is an active one, being a member of the Praise Team, a former youth director, former church clerk and current Treasurer. Tamika was involved with the White House Rural IMPACT Project. It was a 2G, collective impact model that will be used to attack generational poverty. Tamika deems it necessary to give hope to the youth of this area by exposing them to new and fruitful opportunities.
