Scott Martinez is in his sixth year as President of the North Louisiana Economic Partnership. (NLEP). With offices in Shreveport and Monroe, Louisiana, NLEP serves 14 parishes in North Louisiana with funding support from over 200 public and private sector members. NLEP is one of less than 70 Accredited Economic Development Organizations in North America, and it ranks in the top 10 globally for the number of Certified Economic Developers (CEcD) on its staff.

Scott Martinez has worked in economic development in three states including positions in the Houston and Austin, TX markets and for the State of Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ole Miss as well as a Master of Science degree in Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has been designated a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council and serves on its Board of Directors.
