Janet Salazar is the Executive Director for the Charles County Public Library in Charles County, MD. She has worked for the library for 21 years. Upon taking the leadership role in 2015, she immediately implemented a new strategic direction that included working closely with the Charles County Department of Economic Development and focusing on how the library can help support local small businesses. With the implementation of programs like Community Conversations, supporting the Department of Economic Development's Quarterly Round-tables, and the creation of the SOAR Innovation Space, the library has connected the business community to the resources it needs to be successful.
