Jeff Swanson serves as Real Estate Manager, Global Sourcing, for Dalton, Georgia based Shaw Industries Group, Inc. (Shaw), a leading provider and manufacturer of flooring for commercial and residential markets around the world. Shaw is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

With more than 20 years of experience, Jeff provides real estate expertise both domestically and internationally for a diverse real estate portfolio in excess of 35 million square feet.  

At Shaw, he leads cross functional teams of real estate professionals, architects, project managers, engineers, and contractors.  In evaluating facilities and analyzing site capabilities and limitations, Jeff develops long-range plan solutions that integrate with corporate business needs. While managing projects and addressing facility concerns worldwide, he also negotiates state and local economic incentives for major capital projects and long term commitments.

Jeff holds a BS from Frostburg State University and currently resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He implemented and leads the Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate and Facilities Council, has served on the Drafting and Design Technology Advisory Committee at Dalton State College and is a member of CoreNet Global, an association for corporate real estate professionals.
