Adam is a businessman, realtor, and life-long resident of Southern Vermont who has served as Executive Director of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) since 2014. Adam currently owns and operates Wahoo’s Eatery, a roadside seasonal restaurant celebrating its 19th season. He grew up in his family business, a 25-room country inn with 95-person restaurant. Adam served as the general manager for 13 years until successfully transitioning the family operation for its eventual sale in 2008.

After selling the family business, Adam’s work focus was as a licensed Realtor and as the managing partner of Cleo’s LLC, a 55-Unit property management company. Following Tropical Storm Irene and the certain economic challenges ahead, the Board of Directors of the Mount Snow Valley Chamber appointed Adam, a former president of the organization, as interim executive director in 2012. In 2013 Adam took on a short-term contract to serve as the executive director for Wilmington Works, the newly created Downtown Designated Organization for Wilmington before joining the BDCC in 2014.

Over the past 20 years he has worked to contribute to the vitality of the local community by serving on The Wilmington Planning Commission; Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce; Twin Valley Facilities Committee; Bi-Town Committee; SeVEDS; Wilmington Works; Southern Vermont Economic Development Zone Steering Committee; Regional Development Corporations of Vermont Board of Directors (current Vice-Chair) and been elected to the Pettee Memorial Library Trustees, and Twin Valley School Board. Adam is currently a board member for the Brattleboro Retreat, VT’s largest mental health and addiction facility, and Southern Vermont’s largest employer. In 2017 Adam was appointed by Governor Scott to serve on the State Workforce Development Review Board.
