David Maahs is the Executive Vice President for Economic Development of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. The Greater Des Moines Partnership is an organization dedicated to the economic and community development of the Greater Des Moines area. Maahs is responsible for economic development.
Maahs has over 35 years of economic development experience. During that time, he and his economic development team, along with state and local partners, have secured more than $10 billion in capital investment on economic development projects.
He has a B.S degree in Industrial Administration from Iowa State University and a M.A. degree in Economics from the University of Iowa. He is a past president of the Professional Developers of Iowa. He has received certification as an economic development professional (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council.
