Dear [[fname]],

Successful cities are judged by many things, including their character and the character of the people that come from it. Creating a city's personality that is known to be livable, lively and full of opportunity is a collective effort of which economic developers play a large role. Amenities such as theaters, museums, cultural institutions, research centers, institutes of higher education and the surrounding area developments and public art installations build the brand and desirability of your community to talented workers and companies.

You'll find plenty of opportunities to delve deeper into this topic during IEDC's 2016 Annual Conference. Join us from September 25 - 28 in Cleveland. Get started today. Register now.

Startup in a Day: Rockin' the Startup Process for Small Businesses
Monday, September 26 | 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Startup in a Day - an initiative of the White House, the Small Business Administration, Code for America, and the National League of Cities - asks cities and communities to commit to making it easier for every entrepreneur to start a business. This session will provide an overview of the Startup in a Day challenge and explore solutions that are being developed by cities that are currently engaged.

What you'll learn:

- Tools available to cities and communities to make the startup process easier for entrepreneurs
- Firsthand experiences from economic developers that are participating in the challenge
- How to fuel job growth through entrepreneurship and small business
