Time is running out! All entries for IEDC's Excellence in Economic Development Awards must be postmarked by this Friday, May 12 to be considered. As you wrap up your entries and prepare them for shipping, keep in mind a few key tips:

- Make sure your entry packet is complete according to the instructions
- Double check to ensure you have the correct address for the IEDC office
- Proofread to check for typos or inconsistencies
- Put your best foot forward

Take a look at the awards categories overview to see where your project might fit. All submissions must be postmarked by May 12, with the exception of the Innovation in Economic Development Week category, which has a special deadline of June 2.


Awards Categories Overview:

Leadership
These awards recognize outstanding leaders in the public and private sectors who are advancing economic development in their communities.

Promotional
These awards recognize innovative and effective marketing materials used for attracting, retaining and fostering business as well as communications vehicles used by economic development organizations.

Internet & New Media
These awards recognize exceptional and inventive use of the Internet and new media - including podcasts, blogs, wikis, extranet and intranets - for economic development.

Program
These awards recognize outstanding and pioneering programs in economic and business development.

Partnership
These awards recognize significant partnerships formed to support economic development and the results achieved by working together.
