2015 Leadership Summit - Register Today

Gateways to Economic Competitiveness
January 25-27 | Palm Beach County, FL

Register by Friday, November 14, and save with our Early Registration Rates

The 2015 IEDC Leadership Summit brings together leaders from around the world to explore the role and responsibility of economic developers and organizations in channeling new ideas, markets, and products into their "gateways" to increase local, regional, national and global economic growth in today's competitive marketplace.

The Summit will highlight the South Florida region's physical and intellectual infrastructure. Attendees will see examples of what is happening at the local level and how these successes can be replicated in their communities. Whether it's the physical infrastructure of shipping ports, airports, highways, and rail services, or the intellectual infrastructure of universities and research facilities, Palm Beach County will show you what it takes to maintain a competitive edge in today's world.

Attendance is limited to senior managers of economic development organizations and Certified Economic Developers (CEcDs).

Now Accepting Proposals for our Ignite Session at the Leadership Summit

Would you like to participate in an IEDC conference? We have an opportunity for you to do just that.

IEDC is accepting proposals for the next installment of our popular Ignite® IEDC session, where speakers will share the best of what they're currently working on in economic development. Our next Ignite session will take place at the 2015 Leadership Summit in Palm Beach County, FL, January 25-27. To be considered for inclusion, simply email a 250-word description of your proposed presentation, your biography and complete contact information to proposals@iedconline.org by Friday, November 14, 2014. Speakers will be announced by early December.

What's an Ignite® IEDC speech? It's the lightning round of public speaking with:

- 12-15 speakers
- 5 minutes per speaker on any economic development subject you choose… we're serious!
- 90 minutes total
- 20 slides per speaker, automatically advanced every 15 seconds… you better keep up!
- An excited audience of your peers who can't wait to see and hear you

Ignite® IEDC will be more than a fun exercise. It will be a highly effective way of testing a new idea, spreading the word on a successful project and/or program, gauging audience reaction to a new way of presenting important information or refining your speaking skills.
