Didi Caldwell is one of the world’s most authoritative site selection and incentive negotiations experts specializing in capital-, labor- and resource-intensive industrial projects. Since 1998, Didi has personally conducted location advisory services in more than 30 countries for both domestic capital investment and foreign direct investment projects in excess of $40 billion.

She is one of the few female site selection experts that specializes in industrial projects, and is highly respected among her peers and industry influencers. In 2018 Didi became the first female elected to serve as chairperson of the prestigious Site Selectors Guild. She also frequently speaks at economic development and industry conferences throughout the United States.

Didi began her career in 1998 with the global engineering and construction firm FLUOR where she spent 10 years providing location advisory services for projects all over the world. In 2008, she opened her own consultancy, which today operates as Global Location Strategies (GLS). Since 2012, GLS has supported both domestic capital investment and foreign direct investment projects valued at $6.6 billion and generating 6,113 jobs.

Didi earned an International MBA from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. She graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University with a B.A. in Architecture. She is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina and later served on its Board of Directors. Fluent in English and Spanish, she holds dual citizenship in the US and Australia.
