Bethany Miller, CEcD

Vice President of Domestic Investment
Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc.
Richmond, VA

Bethany is a certified economic developer with more than 10 years of industry experience. As the Partnership’s Vice President of Domestic Investment she is tasked with developing and implementing an economic development attraction strategy for the United States that will result in more project activity for the Richmond Region.

Since 2014, Bethany has focused exclusively on business attraction efforts for GRP, locating domestic and international firms in the region and overseeing all formal outreach to global site selection consultants and the regional brokerage community.

When first hired in 2013, Bethany’s responsibilities included managing the Business First Greater Richmond program, the regional business retention and expansion effort. In that role she successfully launched a regional export promotion program, now known as the Metro Richmond Exports Initiative. Designed to boost the region’s export activity, the initiative designs a clear pathway to international markets for regional companies selling products or services.

Bethany currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Economic Development Council and the Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate’s Board of Directors. She also serves as Secretary for the Lower Magnolia Green Community Development Authority in Chesterfield County, Va.

Prior to joining the Partnership, Bethany worked at the local level of economic development for communities in Ohio and Virginia, and at the state level for Virginia’s Department of Housing and Community Development. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, and holding a Master of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University.

Since locating to Greater Richmond in 2008, Bethany’s passion for the community has bloomed. She has volunteered for Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Hands on Greater Richmond, and Sports Backers. She is an active member of Woodlake United Methodist Church, and enjoys spending time with family and good friends, and exploring in the kitchen.
