Glenn Mandziuk is President and CEO of British Columbia’s Thompson Okanagan Tourism Region with over 4,200 industry member stakeholders, 90 communities; and undertakes destination/product development, consumer marketing, travel trade, media relations, research, industry and community services. Glenn has 20+ years’ experience in tourism marketing and community economic development, has coordinated several community and product development projects, business retention programs, local, regional, and provincial partnership development, and marketing initiatives and assisted in attracting over half a billion dollars in investments to the region. Further, Glenn has consulted on Community Recreation Master Planning, Economic Development Planning, and Strategic facilitation projects. He holds a Master of Environmental Design Degree majoring in Community Planning and Development and a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Leisure and Tourism Management. As a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, he possesses a strong ability to build partnerships with multi-stakeholders working within complex professional environments. He has received multiple awards that exemplify his commitment to excellence, dedication, and a creative “out-of-the-box” approach. Glenn has been active on many national, provincial, and regional boards and has been published in a number of journals including Plan Canada on his work in the eco-tourism industry.
