In her role as the Research Analyst for the Pipeline AZ project, Katie has analyzed technical and systems requirements that have informed the development of the Pipeline AZ project approach and platform. From early phases of the project, as focus group research was collected, to refinement of the platform prototype, during which end-user feedback directly informed requirements and revision of content and functionality, Katie has actively researched and tested emerging solutions from other states and regions as workforce solutions are digitized and increasingly specific to regions and audiences.

The project’s potential to link community based organizations, direct service providers, education and training providers within a comprehensive directory structure and the potential network effect benefit through workforce ecosystem linkages is an opportunity for Maricopa County to innovate.

A lifelong resident of Phoenix, Katie is an Urban Planning graduate of Arizona State University and is interested in how digital and place based strategy can be layered in support of community and economic development goals. Katie is a fan of Phoenix, a latent gardener and is fascinated by artistic responses to complex problems.
