Jeanine Duncliffe serves as Director of International Economic Development for Louisville Forward within Louisville Metro Government, heading the city’s efforts on export promotion and foreign direct investment growth. She manages strategic planning for the city’s international engagement, facilitates effective collaboration among trade and business development partners, counsels companies on increasing international sales activity, and engages international companies to consider new and expanding investment activities in the region. Jeanine began her work with Louisville Metro Government in 2013 as Special Adviser on Export Development for the Bluegrass Economic Advancement Movement (BEAM), a Mayors’ initiative between Lexington and Louisville to strengthen the region’s capacities across key areas for economic growth. She has led four projects in collaboration with Brookings, heading Louisville's participation in the Brookings Global Cities Initiative.

Jeanine previously served as international trade specialist and project manager for the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, where she developed the Governor’s Kentucky Export Initiative, among the first programs of its kind in the country, fostering multi-organization cooperation in support of SME export growth.

Jeanine holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from Mount Holyoke College. Jeanine is a Kentucky certified judicial interpreter for Spanish and English and holds the PMI certificate in project management.
