IEDC’s Leadership Summit is a unique gathering of senior-level and CEcD-certified economic developers. St. Petersburg's New Pier

St. Petersburg's renaissance is internationally renowned, and the city boasts one of the liveliest and most beautiful downtowns in the state of Florida. You'll tour the new $76 million St. Pete Pier, one of the city's most ambitious redevelopment projects in decades. You will hear how the project came together from the development team and tour the soon to be completed project. Please wear closed toed shoes, this is an active construction project.
Water Street Tampa - SOLD OUT

First announced in 2015, the construction of Water Street Tampa is well underway. The district's anchor, the new USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Health Institute, has just opened, Sparkman Wharf, Water Street's first retail showpiece, is transitioning from pop ups to bricks and mortar spaces, and the construction of the nation's first WELL-Certified business and residential district is underway. Join leaders from SPP, the developers of the project, on a walking tour of the district and learn more.

Jabil’s worldwide headquarters is being redeveloped to meet with the growing needs of the company.
We will tour Jabil’s Innovation Center, a 40,000 sq. ft. building that houses approximately 100 employees in five labs. The building includes a process development lab, an enterprise and infrastructure test lab, a failure analysis lab, and the lab for Nypro, a Jabil subsidiary that designs and makes products for the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical delivery, and consumer health markets. We will move to the Innovation District, anchored by Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and its Research and Education Building for a tour of the simulation laboratory.
We will also view the remainder of the Innovation District via the bus tour.
This highly interactive course lets participants work in small teams to help understand the complexity of strategic planning and its challenges. Economic developers must build consensus among board members, stakeholders and the community as a whole, creating a unified vision for the future. Learn techniques to build consensus among stakeholders who represent different values and interests. Also, participants will learn the quantitative techniques used to better understand their community including: location quotients, shift share, input-output and cluster analyses. Explore project assessment methods for setting priorities and measuring your plan's impact.
