All Together Now! Crowdfunding and Your Community
October 8 | 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. ET

A new crowdfunding provision created in the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act of 2012 (JOBS Act) allows businesses to sell shares of their company to a large number of small investors without the expense and reporting requirements associated with going public. Economic development experts believe that this amendment will facilitate the growth of crowdfunding as a financing tool for small and medium sized businesses. This webinar will include a case study of the City of Cleveland's Department of Economic Development, and their experiences working on a collaborative effort with a real estate crowdfunding portal.
